I love short films and short stories for the same reason — they leave you longing for more, but don’t linger long enough for you to get weary.
I also appreciate the artistry the abbreviated format requires. You have 5, 10, 20 minutes to implement your story arc and, if needed, tie up the loose threads. (Same analogy applies for pages of literature.)
